Frequently Asked Questions

“What if something comes up and I can’t attend my session?”

Your appointment has been reserved exclusively for you. In the event you are unable to attend, a 24-hour notice is required so the time can be used for other clients. If appropriate cancellation is not made or if the appointment is missed without any notice, you may be charged a fee of $55.  But we are also gracious and understanding of extraordinary situations where this might occur which is why we review each situation on its own merit.

“What are your COVID-19 procedures?”

You can find our policies & procedures on the COVID-19 page, as they are being continuously updated.

“How do I make an appointment?”

Call our offices during normal working hours, 8:00am – 5:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00am – 4:00pm on Friday. A receptionist can assist you then. We have an answering service available for your convenience for after hours calls, or you may leave a message. For emergency mental health services, we may be contacted through our 24 hours answering service by dialing (717) 396-9601 or toll free (800) 535-4803.

“How long are appointments?”

Depending on treatment needs, the length of time may vary. In most cases, though, appointments are typically 45-60 minutes. Psychological and neuropsychological testing procedures are time-intensive. They require several hours and are scheduled accordingly.

“Where is BHC?”

We have several convenient locations in the Central Pennsylvania area. See our locations page for information about and maps to our offices.
